We met Vinnie and Cari down in Treasure Island and hit it off immediately. Vinnie was bigger than life and we had so many laughs and shared some Canadian bacon with them. Unfortunately the next couple of years Covid hit and we didn’t get to go to the U.S. again until this spring. It was great seeing our friends again this year. My last memory of Vinnie and Carrie was right after Jackie had left for the wedding of one of her kids and Cari and Vinnie were all decked out to go out for dinner and they were so happy. We are very saddened that we won’t see them together again. Vinnie was such a great guy and so much fun. He had a twinkle in his eye and you could tell they were meant for each other. Cari, our hearts go out to you and your family.. I know there is a party going on up in heaven right now. Until you two meet again my friend. Hang on to your memories. With deepest sympathy.

Our family got to know Vinnie through our boys. Jake and our son Daniel grew up together. Vinnie coached the boys in baseball, and chauffeured the boys during the summer to Penn-York golf. Time spent with Vinnie has always been a treasured adventure. I have known him since I was a kid and consider him my brother. So many laughs growing up and fun stories doing crazy things together. Later on in life, we enjoyed retelling those escapades, especially to our boys. Who rides down State Street in an old winter car with the roof caved in and on fire with helmets on and cigars in our mouths? What a sight when the cops stopped us. Our ski adventures at Wing, Vermont and Colorado were the best. You were our gentle giant and I am going to miss you!!! Till next time…….keep those beers cold. Love you, Tom Dolan and Family.
