Obituary of Lucille M. Beatty

Lucille M. Beatty Olean, NY Lucille M. Beatty, recently of 161 S. 25th St., formerly of Cooper Hollow Rd. in Allegany, passed away Wednesday (December 16, 2015) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born November 7, 1926 in Carrollton she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Moshier Mattocks. On December 1, 1945 at the First Baptist Church in Olean she married Jack Beatty who predeceased her April 13, 2002. Mrs. Beatty was a longtime member of the Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany where she was very dedicated to the Ladies Missionary Group and was formerly active as a Sunday School teacher as well as with AWANA. Her grandchildren were most precious to her and she enjoyed reading and crocheting. Surviving are 1 daughter Judith (Karl Turck) Hollowell of Waterloo; 3 sons John (Marge) Beatty, Jr. of Henderson, NV, Mark (Emmalinda) Beatty of Lockport and David (Debbie) Beatty of Cuba; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 1 sister Genevieve Silvis of Smethport, PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a granddaughter Lisa Marie Beatty in 1989; a brother Edward C. Mattocks and 2 sisters Marie Reed and Viown Work. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (December 21, 2015) at 11:00am at the Five Mile Baptist Church, Allegany. Rev. Michael Sanders, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Five Mile Cemetery.
