Obituary of Theresia Grandusky

Theresia Grandusky Olean, NY-Theresia Grandusky, of Olean, died Monday (January 18, 2010) at the Absolut of Salamanca Health Care Facility. Born in Augsburg, Germany on April 6, 1929 she was the daughter of Leonhard and Josepha Wieland Meyr. On December 31, 1972 in Olean she married Howard J. "Junior" Grandusky who predeceased her April 28, 1987. Mrs. Grandusky was raised in Germany and lived most of her adult life in Olean. She was formerly a member of St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany and had more recently been a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Olean. Surviving are 1 stepdaughter Lynn "Kate" (Don Hennig) Grandusky of Gales Creek, OR; 1 stepson Howard "Mark" Grandusky of Olean; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister Berta Rossler of Augsburg, Germany and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 1 stepson Kim Grandusky and 2 brothers Franz Meyr and Leonhard Meyr. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (January 23, 2010) from noon until 1:00pm. Services will follow in the funeral home at 1:00pm. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
