Obituary of Mary Richardson

Mary Jane Richardson Olean, NY-Mary Jane Richardson of 350 Front St. died Friday (October 30, 2009) in The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a long illness. Born December 21, 1934 in Rochester, NY she was the daughter of Theodore and Ella Fontaine. On June 27, 1970 in Webster, NY she married Otis L. Richardson who predeceased her February 2, 2000. Mrs. Richardson was raised in Rochester and moved to Michigan in 1970 where she was employed as a waitress. She then moved to Bradford, PA and later to Olean in 1980 where she worked for several years as a waitress in area restaurants including the St. Bonaventure Clubhouse. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casino in Salamanca. Surviving are 3 sons John Michael Fontaine of Bradford, PA, Stephen Edward Fontaine of Olean and Keith William (Tonya) Fontaine of Tucson, AZ; 4 stepdaughters Joyce Yale of St. Mary's, PA, Diane (Gary) Alcock of Bradford, PA, Beverly Waldeck of Bradford, PA and Judith Abel of Niagara Falls; 4 grandchildren Michele Fontaine, Stephen Fontaine, Jr., Rob Alcock and Gary Alcock; 3 great grandchildren and 12 step grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday (November 2, 2009) from 10am until noon at which time funeral and committal services will be held. Major Cecelia Lynch of the Olean Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or to the Salvation Army 310 E. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
