Alvina H. Heiser
“Wonderful Mother”
Olean—Alvina H. Heiser, formerly of 115 South Clinton Street, passed away Thursday (February 7, 2008) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.
Born on August 30, 1911 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of John J. and Sebina Ledwin Christ, Sr. On November 28, 1932 in Buffalo, she married Edward G. Heiser who predeceased her in 1999.
Mrs. Heiser graduated from Orchard Park High School in 1928. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angel’s Church, the Olean Senior League where she served on the planning committee for 25 years and the Grange of Orchard Park. She was also a volunteer at St. Josephs Manor.
She is survived by her son Richard Heiser of Olean.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Alma J. Pearson.
At Mrs. Heiser’s request, services will be private at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road, Olean. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Orchard Park.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church 202 S. Union St. Olean.
