“Loving Grandmother”
Olean—Dorothy J. “Dot” Davis of 710 Front Street, Olean, passed away Monday (July 7, 2008) in Highland Hospital in Rochester after a very brief illness.
Born July 10, 1920 in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of George and Mary Fountaine Johnstone. On August 24, 1948 she married Norfleet Davis who predeceased her on November 14, 1994.
Mrs. Davis attended St. Mary of the Angels Church. She loved the Olean community for its friendly people, safe neighborhoods and for the beauty of the surrounding hills.
Surviving are 3 daughters Susan Peck of Kirkland WA, Donna Impey of Westminster, CO, Anne Hall of Olean; 2 sons Dennis (Debbie) Glime of Seaford, DE, Ronald Glime of Stevensville MD; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 1 brother John (Phyllis) Johnstone of Asheville, NC; 1 sister Virginia (Richard) Fish of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road Olean on Thursday (July 10, 2008) from 6-8pm. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
