Obituary of Robert L. Russo

Robert Russo Allegany, NY—Robert Russo of 17 Elm St. died Tuesday (July 29, 2008) in the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo due to complications from open heart surgery. Born March 21, 1958 in Olean, NY he was the son of Vincent E. and Verna Hopkins Cappelletti. Mr. Russo was a graduate of Olean High School and later resided in Rochester for nine years prior to moving back to Olean. He started in business with his father and brother in operating Bob’s Formica Shop in Olean. He liked to work, take drives and he especially enjoyed deep sea fishing. Surviving are his fiancé Bonnie Cedeno who was the love of his life for the past ten years; his father and mother Vincent and Verna Russo Cappelletti of Olean; 2 sons Robert Russo and Anthony Russo, both of Rochester; 3 stepchildren Eric (Michele) Spring, Bradley Cedeno and Sarah Cedeno, all of Allegany; 2 step grandchildren Alyssa Spring and Eric Spring, Jr.; 1 brother James (Suzanne) Russo of Olean; 1 sister Robbin Parker of Allegany; 4 nephews Albie Reynolds, Jr. of Olean, James Russo of Niagara Falls, Sean Russo of Olean and Dillon Reynolds of Olean and 2 nieces Nicole Russo of Olean and Faith Miller of Olean. He was predeceased by 1 sister Jean Ann Russo. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday (August 2, 2008) from 5 to 8pm. Funeral services will follow at 8pm in the funeral home. Rev. Gerard leFeber, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Allegany Fire Department.
