Marjorie M. Boyle Olean, NY-- Marjorie M. Boyle of 126 N. 11th St. died peacefully Sunday (May 25, 2003) in her home after a brief illness. Born July 9, 1920 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of Lawrence and Winifred Mescall Kaufmann. On November 18, 1950 in Springbrook, NY she married James B. Boyle who survives. Mrs. Boyle was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Buffalo and was employed for several years for the former New York Telephone Co. in Buffalo prior to moving to Olean in 1955. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and she enjoyed being a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are 1 daughter Lynn Hardenbergh of Olean; 3 grandchildren Matthew Hardenbergh, James Hardenbergh and Holly Hardenbergh; 3 sisters Noreen (Norm) Nason of Springville, NY, Ann (Len) Connelly of Arcade, NY and Phyllis Simpson of Olean; 2 brothers Larry Kaufmann of South Wales, NY and Vince Kaufmann of Olean and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Bill Kaufmann and Marty Kaufmann. Friends will be received today (Monday) from 7-9pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (May 28, 2003) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, and Rev. Robert Aloysius Mack of Buffalo, a cousin to Mrs. Boyle, will be the concelebrants. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church Building Fund, the Walsh Foundation, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
