MARY I VAN DE WALKER
OLEAN - Mary I. Van De Walker, formerly of Seneca Avenue and Underwood Manor died Sunday June 23, 2002 at the Waters of Salamanca. Born in Olean on October 11, 1918 she was a daughter of Frank N. and Maude E. Gould Shattuck. On June 29, 1947 she married Albert Van De Walker who predeceased her February 25, 1984. She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Rosalie) Van De Walker of Olean; one daughter, Patricia Baker of Cuba; one foster daughter, Gail (Caryl) Winship of Olean; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Oliver and Frank Shattuck; two sisters Grace Gilliland and Katherine Shattuck. There will be no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday June 25, 2002 at 7:00 PM at Christ United Methodist Church. Rev. John Bartz, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean.
