Ruth E. Hannes
Allegany-- Ruth E. Hannes of 3974 Route 417 Colonial Village, passed away Monday (October 27, 2008) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born February 11, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of George W. and Ruth Prince Hannes. She was a graduate of Olean High School and had resided in Olean for most of her life.
Miss Hannes retired from Dresser Rand Co. on January 1, 1988 after 37 years of service.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers Arthur Hannes and George Hannes.
There will be no visitation or memorial service. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the SPCA 1644 Olean Hinsdale Rd. Olean, NY 14760 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
