Obituary of Flora C. Nolder

Flora C. Nolder "beloved mother and grandmother" Olean, NY-- Flora C. Nolder of 2053 Union Valley Rd. died unexpectedly Thursday (December 4, 2003) shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital. Born March 2, 1925 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Robert and Laura Latta Ambuski. She was married to William G. Nolder, Sr. who predeceased her July 2, 1997. Mrs. Nolder attended Hinsdale Central School and worked for 43 years for Olean American Tile, most recently as an inspector, until her retirement in April 1987. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Atlantic City to gamble. She also liked to garden and grow flowers and she especially enjoyed her family. Surviving are her children Beverly (Harold) Holtz of Springville, Ron Nolder of Portville, Gloria (Jim) Finch of Olean, William (Sandra) Nolder, Jr. of West Clarksville, Linda (Robert) Bish of Olean and Robert Nolder of Olean; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 brother Walter (Della) Ambuski of Allegany; 1 sister Lillian Willover of Hinsdale and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 2 brothers Raymond Ambuski and Edward Ambuski and 1 sister Lucille Babiack. Friends may attend a funeral service today (Saturday December 6, 2003) at 1:00pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. David Johnson, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hinsdale Fire Department.
