Obituary of Kathleen M. Eaton

Kathleen M. Eaton “Loving mother and grandmother” Allegany, NY—Kathleen M. “Kassie” Eaton of 2887 Five Mile Rd. died Thursday (December 4, 2008) in The Absolut of Allegany. Born June 7, 1917 in Allegany she was the daughter of Fred and Magdalena Gallets Nenno. On October 12, 1940 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Clayton E. Eaton who predeceased her April 2, 1990. Mrs. Eaton was a graduate of Allegany High School and had resided in Allegany all of her life. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed raising her family and maintaining the family home. Along with her husband she owned and operated the former Cow Palace in Limestone for several years. She was a lifelong member of St. Bonaventure Church. Surviving are 1 daughter Suzanne (Joseph) Gaughn of Allegany; 4 sons Jon (Patti) Eaton of Clearwater, FL, Thomas (Louise) Eaton of Swanee, GA, Craig Eaton of Rochester and Clayton Eaton of Allegany; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister Rita (Alfred) Eaton of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Christopher Hiram Eaton in 1954; 2 sisters Evelyn Harris and Blanche Granger and 1 brother Louis Nenno. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (December 8, 2008) beginning with a prayer service at 10:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
