Obituary of Gladys M. Keller

Gladys M. Keller Hinsdale, NY—Gladys M. Keller of 1360 Rte 446 died Monday (January 1, 2007) in the Olean General Hospital. Born June 1, 1927 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of George and Gladys M. Court Finger. She was married to Cornelis Jan Keller who survives. Mrs. Keller was a graduate of Olean High School and of St. Bonaventure University. She was first employed in the X-ray department of Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and later for the Olean Medical Group. She then worked for thirty five years as a chemist for the former Vander Horst Corp. in Olean. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Guys and Gals Club of Hinsdale. Along with her husband she was a ham radio operator and she enjoyed writing poems and writing stories, particularly about cats. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter Leny Gessel of Spain; 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday (January 4, 2007) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Robert Goode, chaplain at Olean General Hospital, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
