CATHERINE STINNEFORD
OLEAN - Catherine R. Stinneford, formerly of Buffalo and Olean died Saturday June 7, 2003 at the Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, NY. Born in Buffalo on April 2, 1915 she was a daughter of Charles and Rose Fortune Rott. On August 31, 1935 she married William H. Stinneford who predeceased her April 20, 1984. Mrs. Stinneford formerly attended St. Mary of the Angels Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Catherine (Robert) Walther of Aberdeen, MD, Mary Daglio of Hartford, CT, Joanne Halsen of Lockport, NY and Elizabeth (George) Mosseau of Amherst, NY; two sons, John F.(Sandy) Stinneford of Charlotte, NC and Richard E.(Teresa) Stinneford of Arlington, VA; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Lauchert of Kenmore, NY. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sons, Charles L. Stinneford and William H. Stinneford, a sister Edna O'Connor and a brother George Rott.
Friends will be received on Tuesday June 10, 2003 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday June 11, 2003 beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor will be celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
