Mary E. Tyler
“Loving wife, mother; faithful servant”
Great Valley, NY—Mary E. Tyler of 3922 Bozard Hill Rd. passed away Tuesday (May 22, 2007) at the home of her daughter in Olean.
Born April 9, 1943 in Mishawaka, Indiana she was the daughter of Sylvester and Roberta Green Eberlein. On April 27, 1962 in Indiana she married Charles R. Tyler, Sr. who survives.
Mrs. Tyler had been a resident of Great Valley since 1968 and worked for several years for the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse. She had currently been employed for over ten years as a custodian at the Five Mile Church in Allegany. She was a longtime member of the Five Mile Church where she was a loving member of the “church family”.
Surviving are 1 daughter Christina Tyler of Olean; a very close family friend Gayle Fusco of Olean whom she loved like a daughter; 3 brothers George (Pat) Eberlein, Greg (Sandy) Eberlein and Joseph (Cathy) Eberlein; 5 sisters Theresa Fowler, Kathy (Ray) Pipkins, Linda Attwood, !LouAnn (Rick) Flannery and Patricia Donahoe and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Charles R. Tyler, Jr. in 1985 while on active duty with the US Marines; 2 brothers Bernard Eberlein and Francis Eberlein and 1 sister Margaret Chesser.
Friends will be received at the Five Mile Baptist Church 3624 Five Mile Rd. Allegany on Saturday (May 26, 2007) from 10:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Rev. James Mitchell, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Five Mile Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
