Cynthia A. !McGavisk Olean, NY-- Cynthia A. !McGavisk of 202 N. Clinton St. died Wednesday (June 18, 2003) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a long illness. Born August 10, 1949 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Enoch and Eva Thurston Wilber. She was married to Herbert !McGavisk who survives. Mrs. !McGavisk resided in the Olean and Allegany area all of her life. Her hobbies included collecting knick-knacks, watching soap operas, and visiting with friends. She loved music and she especially enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and George Jones. Surviving are her mother of Allegany; 2 sons Doug (Shvonne) Burnett of Hinsdale and Robert (Melody) Burnett of Allegany; 3 daughters Tracy Burnett of Salamanca and Tammy !McGavisk and Laurie !McGavisk, both of Olean and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father. Friends will be received on Monday (June 23, 2003) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean from noon until 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Rev. James Mitchell, pastor of the Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany will officiate. Burial will be in Five Mile Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Warming House 110 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
