Obituary of Alice K. O'Neill Grandusky

Alice K. O’Neill Grandusky Olean, NY-- Alice K. O’Neill Grandusky of 907 Buffalo St. died suddenly Sunday (January 15, 2006) in the Olean General Hospital. Born August 20, 1926 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Katherine Donavan O’Neill and Bernard O’Neill. Mrs. Grandusky was a graduate of Olean High School and had resided in Olean all of her life. She was a well-liked waitress in the area and was known by many for her years of work at the Castle Restaurant, Paul’s Steakhouse, the Ho-Sta-Geh Restaurant, Mickey’s Outback and most recently as a clerk at Worth W. Smith Co. in Olean. In addition to being a hard worker, she also enjoyed reading. She raised three children Howard Mark Grandusky of Olean, Lynn (Don Hennig) Grandusky of Gales Creek, OR and Kim Grandusky who died May 14, 1988. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Justin, Shannon and Adrian; 1 sister Eileen Moses of Olean who has provided kindness and support to Alice throughout her life and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family for a memorial visitation at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday from 5 to 8pm. A private burial will be held in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olean Public Library.
