Wesley "Wes" Caswell "father and friend" Olean, NY-- Wesley "Wes" Caswell of 503 E. Connell St. died Wednesday (July 9, 2003) in his home after an extended illness. Born August 22, 1950 in Salamanca he was the son of Donald and Bertha Senear Caswell. On October 1, 1983 in Olean he married Laurie Pritz who survives. Mr. Caswell was a graduate of Salamanca High School, class of 1969. He had been employed for Henkel Loctite Co., formerly Hysol in Olean for 34 years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Olean and was also a member of the St. Stephens Club. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He will be remembered as one who was always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend in need. Surviving besides his wife are his parents of Salamanca; 3 daughters Heather (Trey) Marra of Alpharetta, GA, Nicole (Brian Chudy) Meissner of Buffalo and Katy Caswell at home; a granddaughter Sofia Rae Marra of Alpharetta, GA; 1 brother Edward (Patricia) Caswell of Salamanca, NY; 1 sister Diane (David) Chase of Salamanca, NY; 3 nieces and 8 nephews. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Saturday (July 12, 2003) at 11:00am in Christ United Methodist Church. Rev. John Bartz, pastor, will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will immediately follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church 633 Linwood Ave. Olean, NY 14760 or to the American Heart Association PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
