Joe F. Karroach Allegany, NY-- Joe F. Karroach of 3427 N. 7th St. died Wednesday (July 9, 2003) from a single vehicle accident while driving his tractor-trailer near Danville, PA. Born March 13, 1970 in Olean, NY he was the son of Thomas and Oria Bauer Karroach. On October 23, 1993 at the Hinsdale United Methodist Church he married Marcie Hamilton who survives. Mr. Karroach was a 1990 graduate of Allegany Central School and attended tractor-trailer school at NTTS in Buffalo, NY. He was first employed for North American Van Lines and then for Werner Enterprises. He was currently driving for Jevic Transportation out of Delanco, New Jersey. He was active in scouting with the Boy Scout Troop 677 in Allegany from 1979 until 1987. He attended the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmeron, New Mexico and later served as assistant scoutmaster for Olean Troop #617. He always looked forward to spending time with his nieces and nephews. Surviving are his wife; his parents of Allegany; an infant daughter Courtney Anne Karroach; 1 brother James (Cindy) Karroach of Allegany; 1 sister Ann (Ron) Travis of Olean; maternal grandparents Charles and Gloria Bauer of Alabama, NY, formerly of Cuba, NY; his father-in-law and his mother-in-law Roy and Madonna Hamilton of Hinsdale, NY; a brother-in-law Roy (Billie) Hamilton, II; 2 sisters-in-law Laura Hamilton and Jodi Neal; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great aunts and great uncles and 4 close friends Paul and Brandy Kayes, Teresa Carapellatti and Eric Thierman. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Francis and Cecelia Karroach and an aunt Karen Wawrzyniak. Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Sunday (July 13, 2003) at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Carl Schultz, pastor of Hinsdale United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be on Monday at 10:00am in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Buffalo Children’s Hospital 219 Bryant St. Buffalo, NY 14222.
