Frank J. “Cheech” Costanza “loving father, grandfather, brother” Olean, NY--Frank J. “Cheech” Costanza of 1323 Brook St. died Friday (May 26, 2006) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Gates Circle, Buffalo surrounded by his loving family. Born April 8, 1923 in Allegany, NY he was a son of Benedetto and Maria Antonia Accurso Costanza. On August 14, 1949 in Allegany, NY he married Barbara D. Kirtz who predeceased him July 26, 1991. Mr. Costanza was a graduate of Olean High School and had resided in Olean all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during WWII. He spent his entire working career with Dresser Rand Co. in Olean, retiring as foreman in 1983. He was a member of the Olean Rod and Gun Club. He had a love of hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed gardening at his home. Surviving are 3 daughters Cynthia A. Costanza of Olean, Debra L. (Bruce) Jones of Olean and Dawn M. (James) Thompson of Franklinville, with whom he resided the past year; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters Lee Henton of Olean and Mary Jordan of Olean; 1 brother Joseph (Donna) Costanza of Olean and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to a Service of Remembrance to be held at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday (May 30, 2006) at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery Veteran’s Field of Honor. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
