Gertrude S. Rupple Olean, NY—Gertrude S. Rupple of 447 Indiana Avenue died Wednesday (June 14, 2006) at the Waters of Allegany. Born September 12, 1925 in Portville, NY she was the daughter of Victor W. and Charlotte Storms Rupple. Miss Rupple was a 1945 graduate of Bradford High School and had resided in Olean most of her life. She had been employed as a housekeeper at the Olean House for many years and later worked for the Meals on Wheels program through the Cattaraugus County Department of Aging . She had recently been attending the First Baptist Church in Olean. Surviving are a sister Helen (Wayne) Huff of Dewey, AZ; a brother Duane (Barbara) Rupple of Lockport, NY and a niece Melissa Schwartz of Tonawanda, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother David Rupple and a sister Frances Dewey. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean tonight from 6-7pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (June 27, 2006) at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in !McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette, Pa. Memorials, if desired may be made to the Meals on Wheels program, C/O Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging.
