Charlotte V. Tyler "longtime Humphrey resident" Humphrey, NY--Charlotte V. Tyler of Humphrey died Saturday (July 19, 2003) in the Olean General Hospital after a long illness. Born June 30, 1921 in Humphrey, NY she was the daughter of Nathan S. Williams and Blanch M. Stone Williams Dunham. She was married to Charles V. Tyler on November 24, 1938. They have been married for 64 years. Mrs. Tyler has resided in Southern California, Allegany and Humphrey during her lifetime. She was a retired employee of Acme Electric of Allegany, NY and she was a founding member of the Allegany Baptist Church. Surviving besides her husband are her children, Nancy (Francis) Peterson of Steamburg, Charles R. (Mary) Tyler of Humphrey, Larry (Rita) Tyler of Santa Clarita, CA and Garry (Pam) Tyler of San Paulo, Brazil, SA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Beulah B. Baldwin, Blanche M. Dutton, Gertrude C. Keim, all of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 sister Eva Wilber and 4 brothers Ivory Williams, Clifford Williams, Lawrence Williams and Nathan Williams. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Visitation will continue at the Allegany Baptist Church on Wednesday (July 23, 2003) from noon until 1pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor, and Pastor Garry Tyler will officiate. Burial will be in the Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Baptist Church.
