Obituary of Katherine M. Lute

KATHERINE MARIE LUTE- Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother Cocoa, FL - Katherine M. Lute of 148 Homburg Place died Friday (August 25, 2006) in her home after a lengthy illness. Born December 13, 1924 in Hinsdale, NY she was the daughter of William Spencer and Nina Anna Peterson Holdridge. On May 12, 1946 in Olean, NY she married Jacob Franklin Lute, who predeceased her on December 16, 1988. Mrs. Lute graduated from Hinsdale Central School in 1941. She was a great mother and a wonderful homemaker. Most of her life was spent in the Olean area and in July 1979 she and her husband moved to Cocoa, FL where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Cocoa and the Seniors at Lunch Program. Survivors include five children; Eva (Norman)Crawford of Merritt Island, FL, William Lute of Cocoa, FL, Charles ( Gloria) Lute of Allegany, NY, Karen (Daniel) Zink of Freedom, NY, and Bonita Moses of Olean, NY; 13 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren;Three sisters Nina Brown of Woodburn, Or, Elizabeth Worley of Harrison, MI and Wynona Mele of Tamarac, FL; two brothers Robert Holdridge of Nashville, MI and Duane (Sandra) Holdridge of Hinsdale, NY. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a granddaughter Tammy Lyn Lute on June 20, 1990; a grandson Christopher Crawford on April 4, 2006 and a great-granddaughter Kayden Funden October 29, 2003. A visitation will be held at the Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Frontenac, FL on Tuesday (August 28, 2006) from 10 until 11:00am at which time a funeral service will be held. A visitation will be held Friday from 6-8pm in the Casey, Halwig, and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will follow Saturday (September 2, 2006) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Carl Schultz, pastor of Hinsdale United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, NY. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
