Charles E. Ross
Olean, NY—Charles E. Ross, formerly of Black Creek, recently of the Olean House Apartments died Thursday (September 14, 2006) in The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.
Born November 24, 1917 in Maryland, he was the son of Alfred Jones and Pauline Ross. He was married to Lorienda F. Peterson who predeceased him in August 1980.
Mr. Ross was a veteran of WWII where he served with the US Army. He worked for years as a dairy and beef cattle farmer in Black Creek from 1949 until 1982. He also enjoyed horsetraining.
He is survived by some distant family members.
At Mr. Ross’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Friendship, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
