JULIA L. PACHLA ALLEGANY - Julia L. Pachla of 2238 Sheldon Drive died peacefully Sunday evening (August 25, 2002) in her daughter's home. Born in Franklin, PA on May 23, 1914 she was a daughter of Frank and Nellie Sustak Siczka. On August 27, 1935 in Oil City, PA she married Alex W. Pachla who died June 1, 1992. Mrs. Pachla helped in the family restaurant, the "Colonial Grill and Hotel" in Franklin, Pa. She later moved to Allegany where she was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. Her favorite interests included cooking and gardening. She is survived by one daughter, Virginia P. (Thaddeus P.) Zyck of Allegany, a grandson Thad Zyck; a granddaughter Marilyn Shenk; a sister Mary Gilara and a brother Joseph (Cecelia) Maslak both of Franklin; nephews Ted Gilara, Joe Maslak, Jr., Gary Maslak and a niece Joanie Maslak Wheaton. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son George W. Pachla in 1961, and two brothers Frank and Burt Siczka. Friends will be received today (Tuesday August 27, 2002) from 7-9 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday (August 28, 2002) beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church. Fr. Kevin Downey, OFM will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Franklin, PA.
