Vincent R. Kent “loving husband, brother and uncle” Olean, NY—Vincent R. Kent, 50, of 115 S. Barry St. died Friday (October 20, 2006) in The Waters of Salamanca after a long illness with cancer. Born April 28, 1956 in Olean, NY he was the son of Herman R. and Marie D. !McPeak Kent. On June 25, 2006 at Mt. Zion Church in Olean he married Nancy Silverheels who survives. Mr. Kent was a graduate of Olean High School and had resided in Olean all of his life. He had been employed at Dresser Rand Co. and also had worked as a plumber in the area. He was a former member of the Bethel AME Church in Olean and he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Surviving besides his wife are his mother of Olean; 1 brother Nathan Kent of Olean; 4 sisters Debra (Angel) Ferrer of Olean, Carmen (Kevin) Mosley of Binghamton, Sharon (Johnny) Hall of Olean and Wendy (Keith) Clemons of Olean and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and 2 brothers Herman Kent, Jr. in 1983 and Jerry T. Kent on September 7, 2005. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday (October 24, 2006) from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Rev. Stanley Parks, pastor of Mt. Zion Christian Assembly, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute PO Box 631 Buffalo, NY 14240, Mt. Zion Christian Assembly or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
