Laura J. Graham “Loving Mom and Grandmother” Allegany, NY—Laura J. Graham of 3515 Cherry Valley Road passed away Friday (October 27, 2006) in her home after a brief illness. Born December 28, 1927 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of !LeRoy and Geraldine Zimmerman Gray. On May 4, 1946 in Olean, NY she married Ransom E. Graham, Jr. who predeceased her August 16, 2000. Mrs. Graham had formerly resided in Olean, Belfast and Humphrey and she moved to Sarasota, Florida, later moving to Allegany to be with her family in 2005. She had been employed at the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home in Olean as a nurse’s aide and later as a recreational therapist prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany and formerly volunteered for the Humphrey Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of horses. Surviving are 2 daughters Pamela (Andrew Goodliff) Hutchinson of Angelica, Tania (Al) Greninger of Williamsburg, OH; 3 sons Terry (Dawn) Graham of Olean, Brian (Peggy) Graham of Olean and Kelvin (Crystal) Graham of Allegany; 14 grandchildren ; 14 great grandchildren ; 1 sister Eloise Wetherby; 1 brother Clyde Gray and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Tuesday (October 31, 2006) at 2:00pm in the Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany. Rev. James Mitchell, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Five Mile Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
