Robert C. Suhr "loving father and grandfather" Eldred, PA-- Robert C. Suhr of 67 King St., formerly of Colonial Village in Allegany died Monday (October 30, 2006) in his home. Born March 6, 1929 in Buffalo, NY he was the son of Carl and Helen Heichberger Suhr. On October 27, 1949 in Detroit, MI he married Patricia A. Malloy who predeceased him October 16, 2004. Mr. Suhr graduated from high school in Buffalo and had been employed for Niagara Mohawk, first working in Buffalo and later in Olean, retiring as District Operator in 1988. He attended St. Raphael’s Church in Eldred, PA and St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany. He was a former member of the Pistol Club in Buffalo where he received various awards for marksmanship. He also was a scale model airplane enthusiast and was a member of STARS. Surviving are 3 children Michael (Amy) Suhr of Griffin, GA, Mary (Tony) Fusco of Eldred, PA and Cathy (Todd) Clifford of Humble, TX; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother Carl “Butch” (Pat) Suhr, Jr. of Cheektowaga and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by 3 sons Robert Suhr, David Suhr and Joseph Suhr. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass which will be held in St. Bonaventure Church on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 10:00am. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Clearfield, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
