Obituary of Nathaniel Halliday

Nathaniel E. “Bud” Halliday Olean, NY— Nathaniel E. “Bud” Halliday passed away Wednesday (December 27, 2006) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born April 30, 1924 in Olean, NY he was the son of John and Myrtle Anna Johnson Halliday. On October 21, 1948 in Olean he married Eve Marie Fraun who predeceased him on May 30, 2006. Mr. Halliday was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He was employed for 40 years at Alcas Corporation in Olean retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and also, enjoyed wood working. Surviving are 2 sons Larry James Halliday of Little Valley, Edward Clare Halliday of Buffalo, 1 daughter Bonnie Lynn Halliday of Portville; 1 sister Clara Grabbitt of Hinsdale; 2 granddaughters; 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mr. Halliday was predeceased by 1 brother Francis Halliday and 1 sister Cora Elliott. Friends will be received at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Monday (January 1, 2007) from 9-11am at which time funeral services will held. Rev. William !McNeil pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
