Tavares, FL-- Audrey Jean Weber of 3-B Holiday Place, formerly of S. 14th St. in Olean died Saturday (March 5, 2005) in Waterman Hospital in Tavares.
Born May 9, 1921 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Latham and Effie Molyneaux Heron, Sr. On March 22, 1941 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean she married Carlyle H. "Spence" Weber who survives.
Mrs. Weber was a 1938 graduate of Cattaraugus High School and also graduated from Westbrook Commercial Academy. She was a resident of Olean most of her life and had been living in Florida for the past twenty five years.
She was a former member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and its Altar Society and also formerly belonged to the Lady Knights of Olean. While in Tavares she belonged to St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church. She had worked at the former Montgomery Ward Co. in Olean, and in 1978 retired as a teacher’s aide from BOCES. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband are 1 son John G. "Jack" (Marise) Weber of Governador Valadares, Brazil; 2 daughters Patty (Charles) Mormile of Rockville Center, Long Island and Cindy (Ronald) Alferink of Cuba; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Carol Studley of Lake Okeechobee, FL and Gladys (Les) Weink of Cattaraugus and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers Latham B. Heron, Jr. in 1913 and Wesley M. Heron.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday (March 12, 2005) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church or to the Walsh Foundation.
