WINIFRED E. NORTHROP "Loving mother and grandmother" OLEAN – Winifred E. Northrop of West Sullivan Street died Sunday March 13, 2005 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center. Born in Bradford, PA on June 29, 1918 she was the daughter of Robert and Vesta L. Warner Hunt. On May 30, 1942 in Bradford she married Nels A. Northrop who predeceased her in 1989. Winifred was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed studying the Bible and listening to religious music. Her generosity was abundant in the number of charities she contributed to. Winifred was good at many crafts and enjoyed collecting and restoring dolls. She is survived by three daughters Ginger (Tom) Chapin of Turtlepoint, PA, Judy Shoup of Olean and Kathy (Lee) Wells of Virginia Beach, VA; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Charlotte Cole in 2004. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Tuesday March 15, 2005 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev John Bartz, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Bradford, PA. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. .
