Frieda Kiefer Allegany – Frieda Kiefer of 3100 Cranberry Court died Wednesday July 6, 2005 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Manhattan, NY on August 6, 1908 she was a daughter of Windelin and Rosa Hofer Liebstickel. She married Harold Kiefer who predeceased her in 1974. Mrs. Kiefer was a longtime resident of Queens, NY moving to Allegany in 2001. She enjoyed walking. She is survived by a son Harold (Joan) Kiefer of Queens, NY; two daughters Carol (Henry) Speckman of Allegany and Rosemary (James) Johnstone of Wantagh, NY; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sisters Lillian Pue and Ella !MacKenzie. Friends will be received today (Wed. July 6, 2005) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Visitations will continue on Friday (July 8) at the Papavero Funeral Home 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth, NY from 2-5 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at Transfiguration Church, Maspeth, NY. Burial will follow at All Faith Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. Memorials may be made to the Allegany Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps., Allegany, NY 14706
