Catherine M. Miller "loving friend to many" Olean, NY - Catherine M. Miller, 89, formerly of 125 S. 11th St. died Sunday (September 15, 2002) in the Bradford, Pa. Manor, after a long illness. Born August 12, 1913 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Charles and Florence O’Hara Miller. Miss Miller was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy in Allegany and of St. Bonaventure University. She had worked for the Olean office of Catholic Charities for many years, retiring as supervisor in 1978. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Angels Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Catherine enjoyed entertaining, enjoyed life, and was surrounded by many faithful and loving friends. Surviving are 6 cousins James Hamilton of White Marsh, Md, Joan Gooden of Palo Cedro, Ca., Everet Allen of Richmond, Va., Jim Allen of Midlothian, Va. and Marsha Kilmer and Martha Miller, both of Binghamton, NY and many other cousins. Catherine requested that there be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a prayer service to be held Thursday (September 19, 1001) at 9:30am in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus building on Hamilton St.. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
