Obituary of Geraldine Spaulding

Geraldine Spaulding Olean – Geraldine Spaulding, formerly of West Henley Street died Sunday October 23, 2005 at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean Campus. Born in Allegany, NY on October 14, 1910 she was a daughter of Michael J. and Clara M. Cook Lippert. On August 6, 1931 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Ross Spaulding who predeceased her March 28, 1975. Mrs. Spaulding was an Olean resident since 1939. She was employed at AVX, Charles Shaffer's Grocery and Stadtler's Grocery where she retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angel's Church. Mrs. Spaulding enjoyed cooking and baking for her grandchildren. She was very devoted to her family. She is survived by five children Patricia Louk, Lynda Wolfe, William !VanNess and Timothy !VanNess, all of Olean and Helen (Thomas) Bunford of Florida; Richard !VanNess, Karen Louk, Daniel Louk and David Louk; two great grandchildren Kenneth Louk and Melissa !VanNess; two sisters Clara (Frank) Glover and Leona Glover, both of Olean. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by brothers Howard, Michael and Raymond Lippert and sisters Dorothy Spaulding, Eleanor !McAndrews, Margaret Ferguson, Lucille Kayes, Aileen Seyller and Rita Grandusky. Friends will be received today (Monday October 24, 2005) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (October 25, 2005) at 3:00 PM at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church, Olean, NY.
