Obituary of Margaret F. Waters

Margaret F. Waters Olean – Margaret F. Waters of West Henley Street died Saturday October 29, 2005 at the Waters of Salamanca. Born in Olean, NY on February 20, 1915 she was a daughter of Lawrence and Mary Waldeck Karl. Margaret was a 1932 graduate of Allegany High School. She was employed as a clerk at Firch's Bakery Co. in Olean until her retirement. She was a life member of the Olean American Legion auxiliary. She is survived by a granddaughter Mary (Michael) !VanDamme of Allegany; three great grandchildren Zachary, Keira and Aaron !VanDamme; a brother Lawrence (Evelyn) Karl of Abbeyville, LA and several nieces and nephews including Linda (Steve) Kockler of Allegany and Sandy (Gary) Hoover of Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by twin daughters Jean Margaret Waters, who died at birth, Joan Mary Kriner who died in 1997 and one brother James Karl in 2001. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean today (Sunday October 30, 2005) from 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday October 31, 2005) beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Church at 10:00 AM. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM will be celebrant. Burial and committal services will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery Allegany. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Allegany Fire Department or to St. Bonaventure Church.
