Catherine O'Donnell Pitts Olean – Catherine O'Donnell Pitts, formerly of North 19th Street, died Tuesday November 15, 2005 at the Waters of Allegany. Born in Shinglehouse, PA on August 1, 1915 she was the daughter of Jeremiah and Grace Maynard O'Donnell. On August 19, 1941 she married Glenn V. Pitts who predeceased her. She was employed by the State of New York Office of Employment prior to her retirement. Mrs. Pitts was a communicant of St. Mary of the Angels Church. Prior to her illness she was an active member of Olean Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed playing cards in a ladies card club and attending auctions with her husband. She is survived by a son Thomas (Paula) Pitts of Quechee, VT; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a brother E. Harold O'Donnell and a son Terrance Pitts. There will be no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (November 22, 2005)at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to the John Ash Senior Citizens Center, Olean, NY.
