Obituary of Deborah Ann Koon Rothleder

DEBORAH ANN KOON ROTHLEDER "Loving wife and mother" Olean, NY-- Deborah Ann Koon Rothleder, 45, of 106 Garfield Court died unexpectedly Friday (January 2, 2004) while visiting the home of her mother at 678 Bay Shore Dr. in Bolivia, NC. Born March 5, 1958 in Bath, NY she was the daughter of Elwyn Koon and Shirley Carter Koon. On January 19, 1991 in Olean she married William Rothleder who survives. Mrs. Rothleder attended school in Bath, NY and received a nursing degree from St. Jame’s School of Nursing in Hornell, NY. She worked as a registered nurse at the former St. Francis Hospital and later for Olean General Hospital prior to her retirement due to disability. She enjoyed traveling and cooking and she especially enjoyed being with her family and friends. Surviving besides her husband are her mother of Sunset Harbor Community in Bolivia, NC; her father Elwyn Koon of Addison, NY; a son Scott Rothleder of Olean, NY; a daughter Beth Adams of Olean; a brother David (Christina) Koon of Charleston, SC; a granddaughter Mackenzi Adams and nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday (January 10, 2004) from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A service of remembrance will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Robert Goode, chaplain at the Olean General Hospital, will officiate. A visitation and funeral service was held in Bolivia on Tuesday (January 6, 2004). Burial was next to Deborah’s grandparents lot in Faith Community Chapel Church Cemetery, Bolivia. At Deborah’s request, flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
