BERNADETTE KUHN JACOBS "Olean native" W. Seneca, NY-- Bernadette Kuhn Jacobs, of 4247 Seneca Creek Rd., an Olean native, died Sunday (October 12, 2003) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo. Born March 5, 1936 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Herman and Gertrude Hoak Kuhn. On August 29, 1953 in St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean she married Robert A. Jacobs who predeceased her. Mrs. Jacobs was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School and attended Olean High School. She had been a resident of West Seneca since her marriage and was a member of Fourteen Holy Helpers Catholic Church in West Seneca where she was also a eucharistic minister. Surviving are 2 sons Jefferey (Lisa) Jacobs and Robert (Mary) Jacobs, both of West Seneca, NY; 3 daughters Deborah (Robert) Witherell of Lancaster, NY, Lynn (Joseph) Nowak and Marlene (Thomas) Kondziela, both of West Seneca, NY; 17 grandchildren; 3 sisters Marie (Eugene) Bennett of Torrance, CA, Lauretta Jacobs of San Francisco, CA and Agnes Kuhn of Olean, NY; 1 brother Robert (Nancy) Kuhn of Virginia Beach, VA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Gregory Jacobs; 2 sisters Margaret Kuhn and Jane Kuhn and 1 brother Herman Kuhn. Visitation will be held today and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Paul A. Kloc Blossom Chapel 4680 Clinton St. in West Seneca. A prayer service will be held Thursday (October 16, 2003) at 8:15am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Fourteen Holy Helpers Church. Burial will be in Fourteen Holy Helpers Church Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Autism Society of America WNY Chapter, 19 Limestone Drive Williamsville, NY 14221.
