Obituary of James G. Orego

JAMES G. OREGO "Loving Husband and Father" OLEAN – James G. Orego of 3088 Route 16 North died Saturday February 14, 2004 at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Coudersport, PA on July 23, 1930 he was a son of Charles and Alma Schreeve Orego. On June 17, 1978 in Olean he married Barbara Foote who survives. Mr. Orego was employed for Morgan Linen for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Frank E. Orego of Olean; a brother Joseph (Marty) Orego of Clyde; a sister Garnet Erickson of North Carolina and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Frank Orego. Friends will be received on Tuesday February 17, 2004 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department.
