Obituary of Robin L. Vaughn

Robin L. Vaughn Olean, NY Robin L. Vaughn, of 1608 Avenue B, passed away Friday (July 19, 2024) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born August 29, 1956 in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Paul Lundy and Laura Bell Fisk Murray, both of Olean. On February 8, 1975 she married Wayne P. Vaughn who predeceased her on July 28, 2023. Robin attended Olean schools and then worked as a manager at Arby’s Restaurant in Olean for many years and also for Hills Department Store and for the Olean Times Herald. After her parents passed away, she was adopted by her grandmother, Florence Fisk. She was a loving mother and Nana, and she lived for her children and grandchildren. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed watching Law and Order, NCIS, and other TV crime shows. She was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley and his performances and music. Her true passion was her husband Wayne with whom she just could not live without and was “her reason for living.” She leaves behind a son Glenn (Jennifer) Vaughn of Ohio; a daughter Tonya (Randall) Costello of Salamanca; grandchildren Dante Vaughn, Kaylee (Jamie) Vaughn, Randall (Rayona) Costello, Jr., Alexis (Alice) Vaughn, Carter (Alyssa) Vaughn, and Maddison Costello; great grandchildren Maddox Peoples, Ezra Vaughn, and Harper Costello; 2 sisters Linda (John) Gates of Friendship and Sandy Murray of Hornell; 1 brother Jerry Murray of Scio and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne; her parents; her adoptive mother; a granddaughter Lexie Costello; a sister-in law Jane Murray, and Wayne’s brothers and sisters, Rose Vaughn, Eleanor Green, Walter Vaughn, Sr., Nina Brothers, Shirley Hicks, Bonnie Benner, Edward Vaughn, and Harold "Pete" Vaughn. The family will receive friends on Sunday (July 28, 2024) from noon until 1:30pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will begin at 1:30pm.
