Obituary of Robbie J Haynes

Portville, NY -Robbie J. Haynes, 54, passed Tuesday (April 30, 2024) at Olean General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born May 25, 1969, in Olean, he was the son of Robert and Shelly Fisk Woods, Jr. Robbie was an Olean High School graduate. He was a proud owner of his own trucking company, Ivy’s Woods Line Transportation, LLC for the last 15 years. For the last 10 years, he leased and drove for Waletich Corporation. Robbie has been recognized for driving 1,000,000 miles and his commitment for safe driving on the road. Robbie was a member of the OOIDA, The Cancer Truck Association, the St. Stephens Club, the Pulaski Club, and the Moose Lodge. He also supported the Police Association. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing darts, loving animals, and driving his side-by-side. Robbie was a gentle giant and never stayed a stranger with those he met because of his loving and caring personality. One of Robbie’s proudest last memories was taking his mother on a 12-day cruise in March. Robbie will be sorely missed by his mother Shelly Woods of Portville; his siblings Tina Carpenter of Port Angeles, WA, William Haynes, Jr. of Bradford, PA and Kimberly Woods (Robert) Putt of Olean; his grandmother Arlene Woods and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by the Minor family who took him in as one of their own. He was predeceased by his father Robert Woods, Jr 2022.; a sister Stacie Arneson in 2005; a niece Chasity Haynes in 1999, a nephew Justin Haynes in 1992, a sister-in-law Kassie Small-Haynes 2022, his grandmothers Florence Foltz in 2020 and Ivy Kinley in 2020, and grandfather Robert Woods, Sr. in 1999. No services are being scheduled. A celebration of Robbie’s life is being planned for family and friends. Memorials if desired may be made to the American Lung Association, 505 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig, and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
