I was so very blessed to know Kathy. I met her through Pat in 2019. It was then we started traveling as a group. Kathy and I became friends quickly. I’ll never forget the many many laughs we shared. We made so many memories in our group. The kind that make you laugh out loud as you remember them. Kathy was an honest, kind, loving, genuine person. She always found a way to make you laugh even on sad days. My whole family loved her including my dogs that she and Abbey watched when I went to Vermont. She cheered for my kids when good things happened. They loved her.
She talked non-stop about her boys and her beloved grandchildren. They were her world and their happiness was what mattered to her. She would call and tell me about important stuff going on in their lives and she would send all of us pictures of them.
The next to last trip we took to Florida, Kathy said she wanted to get in the ocean one last time. With the help of my friend we got her in the ocean. Then this spring we went again and my Mom and I once again enjoyed time in the ocean with her. I’ll never forget that two men saw a shark swim by her and I while we were talking and laughing.
Our group trips will never be the same because Kathy brought so much joy to them. She was a one in a gazillion!
Sending so much love to Art, Kasey, Andy, Michael, Landon, Norah and Abbey. May God comfort you and help you through this difficult time.
I love you Kathygirl! I will NEVER forget you!
