Obituary of Laura E. Baldwin

Laura E. Baldwin Olean, NY Laura E. Baldwin, a resident of The Pines of Olean, passed away Wednesday (April 26, 2023) after a fulfilling life of 91 years. Born January 13, 1932 in Ellicottville, she was the daughter of Elmer and Marabell Green Meacham. On October 19, 1957 in Allegany, she married Albert Klice who passed away October 31, 1961. She later married Glenn Baldwin who also predeceased her. Laura graduated from Ellicottville High School and worked at the former Acme Electric Co. in Allegany. She also worked for a period of time for Alcas Cutlery in Olean. She retired from the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home in Machias after 14 years of service. She was a quiet and kind person, but also strong and could always be found helping others. She was attentive to her family and was known for her thoughtfulness to her patients at the nursing home. She leaves behind her 4 children Frostine Brace of Olean, David (Susan) Klice of Busti, Peggy Klice (Mike) Sanfilippo of Fairport, and George Kuhaneck of Olean; 9 grandchildren, Donald, Carl, Joshua, Patrick, Jeremy, Lori, Mike (Bernadette) Sanfilippo of Fairport, Brandon Sanfilippo of Richlands, NC, and Michelle; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. At Laura’s request, no services will be observed. Burial will be alongside her husband Albert in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
