Kill Buck- John E. Blamble, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday (March 4, 2023) after a brief illness. Born September 26, 1936, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Frank and Madelyn Hillary Blamble. He married Carol Schreckengost who predeceased him September 2, 2015. John worked for Wilbert Vault Company for 35 years and retired in 1996. In his free time, he was an avid carpenter, enjoyed going out to eat and “cutting it up” with people. He most importantly loved being with his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by canine companions Captain and Jane. John is survived by three grandchildren Rachel (Chris Calvert) Hill, Erin Hill, and Edward (Mikelann) Hill, two sons John (Tina) Blamble of Norfolk, VA and Charles Blamble of Oakland, MD; a sister Jannie Blamble of Oakland, MD; one son-in-law Edward S. Hill Jr., of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by her three children Larry Noyes, Terry Noyes and Virginia Hill; a sister Button Blamble; and his beloved dog Woody. Friends are welcomed to attend a memorial service Tuesday (March 21st, 2023) at 1pm at the House of Prayer, 122 Highland Ave, Salamanca, NY 14779. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
