Bolivar, NY-- Lesley A. Whipple of 8569 Daggett Hollow Road, town of Little Genesee died Thursday (March 25, 2004) at St. Joseph Family Medical Center, Andover, Ohio.
Born May 29, 1953 in Cuba, NY she was the daughter of Richard E. and Mary Childs Scott. On July 16, 1971 at the Richburg, NY First Day Baptist Church she married Walter Richard Whipple who survives.
Mrs. Whipple was a 1971 graduate of Portville Central School and resided in Bolivar most of her life. She attended Obi Community Church and as a homemaker she enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Surviving besides her husband are a son Andrew Scott Whipple of Bolivar; a brother Doug (Ellen) Scott of Friendship; a niece and a nephew.
Friends will be received at the Obi Community Church on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (March 30, 2004) at 11:00am in the church. Pastor David A. Wood will officiate. Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery, Obi, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
