Obituary of Donald V. Mohr

Donald V. Mohr "loving husband" Allegany, NY-- Donald V. Mohr of 4115 S. Nine Mile Rd. and a recent resident of Eden Heights in Olean died Thursday (April 1, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital after a short illness. Born April 6, 1925 in Bradford, PA he was the son of Vincent and Ruth !McCarthy Mohr. On October 11, 1991 in Bowmansville, NY he married the former Evelyn !LaVorgna Rauff who survives. Mr. Mohr had resided in the Salamanca and Allegany area most of his life having moved to Allegany eleven years ago. He had worked as a custodian for the Salamanca School District prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, the Allegany Sixty Plus Club and the Salamanca Moose Lodge. He will be remembered as one who was always a good neighbor to family and friends. Surviving besides his wife are a son Paul (Donna) Rauff of Elma, NY; two grandchildren Karen Rauff and Michael Rauff; an uncle Clarence (Dorothy) Mohr of Allegany and several cousins. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Saturday (April 3, 2004) from 10:00am until 11:30am. A prayer service will be held at 11:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Sixty Plus Club Memorial Fund, Allegany, NY 14706.
