Obituary of Elizabeth A. McFall

Elizabeth A. “Beth” McFall Olean, NY Elizabeth A. “Beth” McFall, 72, of 933 Brook St., passed away Friday (October 28, 2022) at her home, after an illness. Born September 12, 1950 in Olean, she was the daughter of Frederick and Helen Cords Hemmerly. On February 21, 1970 at St. Mary’s Church in Olean she married Donald E. McFall who predeceased her September 16, 2019. Beth was a graduate of Olean High School and had been employed for 35 years for the former AVX Corp in Olean. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening, and taking shopping trips. She is survived by 2 daughters Michelle McFall of Olean and Melissa Shearer of Olean; 5 grandchildren Emily, Logan, Taylor, Jack, and Jaret; 3 great grandchildren Kamdyn, James, and Luna; 1 sister Penny Hemmerly of Rochester and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter Julie McFall; 1 brother William “Bill” Hemmerly and 1 sister Joan Deibler. The family will receive friends on Friday (November 4, 2022) from 10am until 1pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will begin at 1pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
