Tracy A. Veno Olean, NY Tracy A. “Peachie” Veno, of Olean, passed away Friday (December 10, 2021) at Olean General Hospital after a recent illness. Born September 10, 1958 in Olean, he was the son of the late Anthony S. and Bonnie L. Genberg Veno. On June 29, 1985 at Transfiguration Church in Olean he married the love of his life, Victoria Muniga, who survives. Tracy was a graduate of Olean High School, class of 1977 and later graduated from Jamestown Community College in 1979 with a degree in criminal justice. He went on to graduate from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Academy and soon began working for the Olean Police Department. After working there for a short period of time, he lateraled to the City of Olean Fire Department. He was currently the City’s Code Enforcement Officer. His career with the City spanned 39 years. During this time he was an acting lieutenant, a member of the Fire Investigation Team, and played for the Clubbers, which was the police and firefighter’s softball team. Tracy’s most prideful aspects in his life were marrying his wife, bringing his three amazing and beautiful children into this world, and watching his children become parents. He adored his grandchildren and loved watching his family grow. If building a fantasy heaven team, Tracy would be the absolute overall #1 pick. His family and friends were beyond blessed to be on his team. He meant so much to so many. Tracy was very selfless, always putting others before himself. His generosity for his family, friends, and his community was always at his forefront. Tracy holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest personal collection of tools; He had at least six of everything. Tracy had charisma and a smile which was so infectious it forced others to smile, love, and light up. Aside from spending time with his family, Tracy loved to galavant in search of great company and coffee conversation, his most recent name being “Uncle Chit-Chat”. He loved to laugh and joke around. His cavalier spirit always shined. Annually, Tracy looked forward to traveling with his family and friends throughout the country, especially South Florida where he envisioned retiring. Tracy took absolute pride in everything he did, he was a true perfectionist. If the job was done by Tracy everyone knew it was done right. He was everyone’s “go-to-guy”. If anyone was ever looking for him he could often be found on his tractor, cutting his lawn, several times a week. Tracy used to find enjoyment in hunting. He always appreciated Friday night get-togethers at Abdo’s house and meeting up with the guys to watch football at Applebees. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria; a daughter Meghan (Jon Widman) Veno of Rochester; 2 sons Nicholas (Morgan) Veno of Olean and Luke Veno of Salt Lake City, UT; 3 grandchildren Gabe Widman, Olivia Widman and Jase Veno; 3 siblings Kim (David) Blatchley, Christine (Christopher) Flicker, and Thomas (Jami) Veno, all of Olean. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Edward Muniga, Michael Muniga, and Joseph (Jen) Muniga and sisters-in-law Amy Muniga and Shelly (Rick) Jakubowicz, as well as several nieces and nephews; Nathan (Andrea) Veno, Jason (Heidi) Blatchley, Jessica Blatchley, Jordan (Katelyn) Flicker, Brandon (Alyssa) Muniga, Breanna Muniga, Sophia Veno, and Ava Veno. Additionally, he is survived by several young nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and who called him “Uncle TC” and “Uncle T-Bone”. He is also survived by Kay Magneson and Melissa Marker. Tracy was a larger than life guy whose footprints will forever be embedded on the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
