Pauline C. Shaffer Olean, NY-- Pauline C. Shaffer of 1826 Dugan Rd. died Tuesday (October 15, 2002) in The Waters of Allegany Health Care Facility. Born in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Kukulka Kuzak and was married to Fred Shaffer who predeceased her in 1982. Mrs. Shaffer was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean and was a homemaker and mother. Surviving are 1 son Chuck F. (Theresa A.) Shaffer of Olean; 2 sisters Helen Olson and Ann Close and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son William Shaffer; 3 brothers Constance Kuzak, John Kuzak and Frank Kuzak and 1 sister Mary Ukasinski. Friends are invited to call at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A prayer service will be held Thursday (October 17, 2002) at 10:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in the St. Bonaventure University Chapel. Rev. Bernard Creighton, OFM of Butler, NJ and Msgr. G. Carlton Ritchie of St. Francis Parish in Bradford, Pa. will be the concelebrants. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
