Thomas R. Loop
Jasper, NY Thomas R. Loop, of 2953 North Rd., formerly of Olean, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (October 18, 2017).
Born April 14, 1970 in Olean he was the son of Duane and Nancy Barber Loop.
Tom was a 1988 graduate of Olean High School and had resided in Steuben County for the past 20 years, having worked for various companies including managing Ponderosa Restaurants, the fracking business and for Alstom Co.
He was raised in the Methodist faith and was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed camping in amusement parks, especially Darien Lake. He enjoyed the friendship of the Amish community but he especially enjoyed time with his family.
Surviving besides his parents of Olean are a daughter Elizabeth Loop of Canisteo; a son Carter Smith of Bath; 6 siblings Barbara Loop of Olean, David Inman of Portville, Debra Loop of Olean, Debbie Perry of Corning, Angela Bennett of Portville and Brenda Martin of Virginia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his dear friends Ed and Teri Blume and Alice Gerow.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (October 21, 2017) from noon to 3pm. Services will begin at 3pm with Rev Ronald Isaman, retired Methodist pastor, officiating.
